What are the tax implications of providing employee benefits or bonuses?

Employee benefits, also known as Benefit-in-Kind (BIK), are items or services given to an employee that have a cash value, like company cars or health insurance. These are usually subject to PAYE, PRSI, and USC. Bonuses are also subject to these taxes. As an employer, it's your responsibility to calculate and deduct these taxes.
